All long term new patients are asked to attend the surgery for a general health check with our phlebotomist or practice nurse. This includes weight, height, and blood pressure checks and allows us to summarise your medical history while waiting for your notes to arrive from your previous doctor.
Please try to bring your NHS Medical Card and details of any past illnesses, vaccinations, and smears where applicable. Bring a sample of urine for testing (we can provide a sample bottle). The health check usually lasts 20 minutes and often it is possible to arrange an appointment with a doctor immediately afterwards, if you need to see one.
